a big welcome to the blogging world is out to director of photography at aurora, family man, artist and homeslice, peter dennen!

peter has started a 365 project which you can read about and see at his new fantastic blog: 365 project

peter needed a little help to get the blog up and off the ground and who better to ask than his good friend and one time insane contributor, me!  but in all fairness, it is the least i could do to give back a little for all that peter has done to help me get my stock up off the ground and running strong.  thanks right back at ya!  i promise i will start to contribute soon.

365 is born and in motion!  but now that i posted it on here, there is no baggin the idea, your commited!

this was a session that i went out to shoot fellow photographer/surfer nathan petty which i have done in the past on a few occasions.  it is at a spot called big rock in la jolla on a very ominous day with decent waves.  i may or may not have gotten a decent shot of nathan but i did grab this shot of another guy named nate.

the image has been on the market for only about 5 months and has done pretty well so far, with about 4 rights managed clients thus far.  i think it does well because the image is really a different tone than many other images of same content.  it has a nice moody feel to it.  the image is in aurora's collection on getty images.

glad its doing well, i was sucked over the waved and bounced on the reef a few times, so this shot makes it all worth it.

Bangkok, Siem Reap, Angkor Wat Temple complex, Phnom Penh, Vientiane, Vang Vieng, Luang Prabang

Step into three incredible countries with diverse landscapes and explore their hidden gems and famous landmarks, all providing moments to be captured for eternity. From the back lanes and chaos of Bangkok to the serenity of Angkor, and the French influence of Luang Prabang, you will be amazed at the variety in this cross-country adventure.

Day 1 Arrive Bangkok

Day 2 Bangkok
Bangkok truly is the essence of Thailand with its chaotic streets and busy canals, tranquil temples, colourful markets, and food that defies description.

Day 3-5 Siem Reap/Angkor Wat
The Khmer Empire gave rise to one of the world's finest artistic heritages. At the Empire's peak in the 12th century, Khmer civilization culminated in the construction of the massive Angkor Wat, one of Asia's most incredible sites, which is a tantalizing blend of Hindu and Buddhist art and architecture.

Day 6-7 Phnom Penh
Explore this pleasant riverside city of cafes, shady streets and thriving markets full of vibrant textiles and curios.

Day 8-9 Vientiane
Quiet and relaxed, the capital city has a wealth of charms to offer from its eclectic blend of French and Lao architecture, to the uncluttered streets, riverside cafes, and quiet temples.

Day 10 Vang Vieng
Admire the fantastic limestone karst scenery, wander through the local markets, or take a walk along the river. The numerous caves and endless rice fields make this off-the-beaten-path destination so beautiful.

Day 11-12 Luang Prabang
Once home to Laotian kings, this is a beautiful town filled with historic temples, a multi-ethnic population, rich culture, vibrant markets, stylish coffee houses, and textile treasures.

hi all, just wanted to pass along this new gadget that i have been using. for my stock work, i have spent way too much time cleaning files, until i found this device. the sensor scope

This is basically a loop with a LCD light system to illuminate the sensor to see what type of dirt, dust, or smudges are on the sensor. Now when I go out to shoot, I know my sensor is clean! most of the time, my files are so clean i dont need to do any clean up work before i submit hi res files, pretty nice.

a pic of andrew holding it...
