hi everyone,
i find myself doing more commercial work and many times not actually imagery that i want to hang in the house...but recently have been really inspired by the fantastic use of images showcased in domino magazine. it seems like almost every issue really show a creative way a featured person is displaying their personal snapshots, fine art photography or captured moments. reminds me that images should be seen and get creative in your presentations. there are no rules and if there were, domino shows that they are just meant to be broken. so maybe my new years resolution is to show more photos in the house and studio;-)
below is actual a shot of a spread of domino editor rita konig fantastic use of polaroids over the mantel.

i'm making showing more photos a goal too. and, it makes me so happy that you like Domino!! it's my favorite mag.EVER. this display caught my eye alsol...along with the 23957397 other amazing displays in all of the other issues :}

You're so right. I've loved this mantle ever since I saw it. Domino is always a source of inspiration. Did you see Rita's cocktail party. Super laid back and cool. And we got a second peek at her mantle at christmastime.

I find myself looking through home decorator magazines for this very same reason, lol! Instead of looking at the furniture or the way popular wall colour, I'm looking at the images on the wall's/shelves and how they're displayed :-) I would never have thought of displaying photo's like this but it definitely works really well as a feature wall for something different :-)

Amen! I am constantly flipping through that mag getting display ideas. The Drew Barrymore issue is great, she has a fantastic inspiration wall of images in her office.
