So I have really wanted to do more fun family sessions but just have not had the time for it, but I did manage to squeeze in some friends and this is Matt and Jessica and their family of 4. Matt is a good friend of mine from Penn State, back in the day.

Hi Everyone!
Sorry for the delay in posts, been super crazy busy. Which is a very good good thing they tell me. So here is a very fun post for a couple of reasons... the first being Gail is super fun to shoot with lots of personality and is very photogenic. And the second is that I shot it on my new Olympus EP1 Pen Camera. It was a real interesting shoot not having bags of heavy equipment, various lenses and camera bodies. The Pen is totally opposite, with a small sleak, rangefinder/point and shoot design, you do everything though a live view LCD on the back which made it a bit of a challenge in the bright beach sunlight. The lighting situation really put the camera to the test. The files are fantastic in color and very very sharp when i did lock in the focus.
The camera shoots in a 4:3 format, which I like a lot and its all shot in RAW. I am not a fan of the Olympus Raw software and wish that I could read the files in ACR, but no luck, correct me if I am wrong. I shot this all with the 17mm(35mm equivilant) olympus pancake lens.
The camera also shoot some very nice HD motion as well. 30 FPS with decent depth of field on that f2.8 pancake lens makes for a very nice film look to it all, which I love!
All in all a very fun camera that deffinalty have a place in my line up of toys. I just think it might have been a funny sight, me shooting Gail on the beach with such a SMALL camera!

Perfect case and point about why it is NOT the camera, but rather the person who makes a great image :)

Hi Everyone,
Just sharing a shoot from this week, Jaclyn Guthrie who is an opera signer based out of Arizona and out here recording and working on her original work. Shoot was in Laguna Beach, one of my favorite places to shoot and be ;-) Thanks to my brother Andrew for assisting and thanks to Robin for producing the shoot!

Thank you for inspiring us to take a lot of photos. My camera is around my shoulders everywhere I go now. If I may say, your style and outlook of photography transcends the art world of peace, love, and damn well happiness. Congratulations to you and your family for bringing new life.
