June 9, 2008 live hope love
hanging out on comm arts web site this weekend, yeah, thats how i spend my weekends.... and was checking out the web pick of the day and just wanted to share.  i have a thing for jamaica and i really found this collaboration inspiring and well produced.

Live Hope Love Poet Kwame Dawes writes of the plight of Jamaicans with HIV/AIDS in this lyric presentation—commissioned by the Pulitzer Center—of music, documentary photography and video interviews.

June 7, 2008 new bio pics...finally
so, i am much better behind the camera than i am in front of the camera.  but nate was nice enough to work with me again.  i say again, because we were shooting today and laughed that it  was about 6 years  since he shot my last formal portrait.

thanks nate, i will call you in about 6 years!

hi everyone, just a shout out to the ITDR team.  they are kicking but out there in tempe, az and wanted to share the new site with you all... if your not familiar with ITDR, they create some of the nicest flash applications for photographers including SlideShareMAX, PhotoProofMAX, Flash Blogs, and insane web sites... and more to come!  check them out....

ITDR started with a long list of things i wanted and needed as a photographer.  Theta Interactive was a commercial client of mine that turned into a thriving business relationship.  The family of products has evolved nice and will continue to evolve as fast as I can get Anthony to approve products and Michael to develop them at all hours of the night!

I also have to say thanks to Meghan, Ann Marie, Brad, Kitty and Claudia who all make it happen on the back-end and customer service side.  Thanks guys!!

With the ITDR blogs taking off like mad, my existing blog,  the one your reading right now, was just released as a template...so if your interested, give them a call!  thanks!

i have been having this email relationship with a great event planner named lisa kennedy at landmark events.  lisa works on some charitable events and was doing one for Isabella's Gift.   combing fashion, art and music, i think fun was had.  here are a few images to check out.  fun doing some thing a bit different.  this was a photographic challenge, see room below.

landmark_0005.jpgso i don't really do too many phoot tips on this blog...as i am not even sure who is reading it, but i think this is of interest to anyone.  the beauty shots above were taken in this room... with the existing florescent lights.

another interesting thing about this shoot was it was all JPG... which is not all that interesting unless you a photo geek like me, but what i liked about the shoot was keeping the image as is...with as little post work as possible.  I am looking to do more editorial assignments and want to keep life easy...so accepting the art as art is something i am working on...does that make sense?

its just nice when it all works.  ever get that feeling?  just wanted to say thanks to two companies that really have it together.  customer service has been great and i look forward to many more orders with these guys.  so i have been making new printed portfolios and it is kind of a expensive pain in the but to select the images, edit the images, print and make all of these portfolios.  but it is almost done!

WHCC for printing. these guys are just great, i can FTP and what almost seems like 2 days it comes via UPS looking perfect.

PINA ZANGARO for printed portfolios.  i had these great plans to custom make books.  when it came down to what i wanted to make, they beat me to it.

props.jpgjust putting a bunch together for a rep.  get it in circulation!

February 21, 2008 365 is in the house!
a big welcome to the blogging world is out to director of photography at aurora, family man, artist and homeslice, peter dennen!

peter has started a 365 project which you can read about and see at his new fantastic blog: 365 project

peter needed a little help to get the blog up and off the ground and who better to ask than his good friend and one time insane contributor, me!  but in all fairness, it is the least i could do to give back a little for all that peter has done to help me get my stock up off the ground and running strong.  thanks right back at ya!  i promise i will start to contribute soon.

365 is born and in motion!  but now that i posted it on here, there is no baggin the idea, your commited!
