I am usually the one giving the workshop(photo) but it was certainly refreshing to go to a workshop and be on the other side of it all!  This was a great event put on by the Southern California Drum Society which seems to have a pretty active sereis of workshops.  The trio performing and teaching are, Bob Boss(guitar), Gunnar Biggs(bass), and Duncan Moore(drums).  Bob and Gunnar are my guitar and bass teachers.

It’s on. Premier opening of Surface. Swing by Saturday evening 7-11 p.m., July 31st to see original artwork by Jay Reilly and Myles McGuinness. Free beer and wine with live music by The Red Fox Tails. RSVP here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=137501542937947&ref=ts

So I feed a lot of my family snapshots into stock and its cool to see one hit a homerun.  This one of my son Brooks licensed for $2000 this month which was nice to see.  You can never rely on just one image a month to pay off, but when you have 1000s in the market, it has started to really payoff in a consistant level.  I am recharged to get out there and start shooting again.

thanks brooks!

Always nice to see your images in the finished piece!  The design sent over a PDF from my CHOC shoot like 6 months ago.  Its inspired me to add a resolution to my shooting schedule this year….really want to chase those institutions that have money, value great photography and NEED great photography.   Schools, universities, health care, hospitals and pharmaceuticals…hear i come!  I should writes some of the goals down…right!?  Who are you shooting this year?

Happy New Year!

So I have really wanted to do more fun family sessions but just have not had the time for it, but I did manage to squeeze in some friends and this is Matt and Jessica and their family of 4.  Matt is a good friend of mine from Penn State, back in the day.
