Hey Everyone - just having fun doing some different stuff, had this super fast like 15 minute fashion shoot.  Had the generator in the trunk of the bmw, just find an alley, and shoot for 10 mins, done.

So what do they say are the 3 most important things in real estate, location, location, location.  Well for me, its all about location, authenticity and activity.  so many people ask about image creation and how the images take on a natural feeling and tone to them...  well, maybe because even if it is a produced shoot and not found scenarios, i try to keep all of the elements in mind when producing, shooting and editing.  Here are a few of Michael Stewart yoga instructor doing what he does best, keeping it very authentic.  Thanks Michael!  Images on the way!

By he way, Michael host yoga retreats in fantastic places, as soon as I get details from him, I will post a link, thanks!

Chuck Carver says: Beautiful imagery. They have a great tonality and sense of place to them, as well as capturing Michael's inner strength. I wholeheartedly agree with you about it not being just location, location, location. An image has to do more than just tell me a story about where it happened. (02.18.09 @ 06:47 AM)
Matt Chou says: you also have a knack for movements in photography, the composition always has a very nice fluidly to them. I'm a fan. (02.03.09 @ 12:09 PM)
Chad Jarae says: very powerful images! (01.30.09 @ 05:52 PM)
Tony says: I couldn't agree with you more! (01.29.09 @ 03:28 PM)
Michelle Moore says: So true. 3 elements a photographer should live by. (01.29.09 @ 09:36 AM)

Hi everyone...2 post in a day, why not!

I was featured in issue 7 of Design Aglow...all about branching out!  I am not sure what i am branching out from...but the editors tested my knowledge and life in the world of stock photography.  I am somewhat new to stock, all things considered, but feel like i know as much as anyone in the business on that little niche of the world.  Starting way back when i was an art buyer for advertising campaigns...to now shooting LOTS and LOTS of stock!!

Thanks to Jamie who wrote the feature...and the designers who all put the issue together, they did a great job!

Hi everyone!  Well, I think its about that time.  For years i have been one of the guys behind the scenes making my clients advertising, catalogs, web sites shine with imagery and really have done it on a guerrilla approach at finding clients and booking new gigs.  I think it it is really time to ramp up the effort.  Its been a challenge to decide what to spend money on and how to make it happen.  The smart approach would be to write a marketing plan... which i have not done yet.  Time always seems to get in the way, busy traveling, shooting and delivering images... leaves me little time to find new clients.  Is it a catch 22 ;-)  I guess i happy to have work and would be happier to have bigger work!

So with this post is a commitment to write a marketing plan, create a new book, continue to do email marketing, send this first round of direct mail and probably a bunch more stuff, that i don't even know yet...cause my plans not done!  Wish me luck!

Some press printed cards to be mailed to some people, here we go!

thought this was a very interesting set of images of some pretty amazing people.  and the presentation is very cool.  just a little bit of insight really makes the images that much more enjoyable to take in as a photographer.
